Cleaning Up & Painting the Mustang Engine Bay

The process of cleaning up & painting the engine bay is in full swing this August. These hot months are perfect for getting really dirty & greasy here in the bay. This engine bay was full of redneck fixes and zip ties. I began the process by breaking down the grease & grime with scrubby bubbles bathroom cleaner. I then came in with the heavy hitter degreaser. Lots of rinse & repeat and elbow grease with a scrub brush was necessary to bring this 40-year-old beauty back to almost new looking condition without spending thousands for a professional paint & prep. The only thing that would have made this process better was a sandblaster. Hope you enjoy the photos.
