Accessibility statement

We want every reader to be able to use the guides, whatever device, browser or assistive technology you use.

Updated October 18, 2026

Our goal.

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a goal we test against, not a certification.

What you can change.

The accessibility button in the lower left corner opens settings for text size, text spacing, a readable font, higher contrast, stopping motion, underlined links, a stronger focus outline and a reading guide. Your settings stay on for your next visit.

Every menu, dialog, photo viewer and form works with a keyboard. Press Escape to close any open panel. The site also follows your device setting for reduced motion.

Known limitations.

The guides were written between 2012 and 2018. Many older photos carry descriptions that repeat the guide title instead of describing each photo, and the videos rely on YouTube's own captions.

Report a barrier.

If something on the site does not work for you, tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it or send you the information another way.
