Bringing back the appearance of chrome to the A/C vents. A few weeks ago I saw a friend do a post on his YouTube channel showing how to revive a dashboard panel with a $5.00 paint pen. You can see Tyler’s video here. I have to give credit to “whosaidtyler” for this tip. Anyhoo… I ordered a new center dash air conditioning vent from a person on ebay. Overall, the vent was in excellent shape except for the lack of chroming on the a/c vent directors. This is now a very simple fix… Using a silver permanent paint pen ($5.00) and some normal household rubbing alcohol (as a prep) keep a very steady hand and run the pen along the surface that used to be chrome or silver. The end result is a shockingly nice appearance of chrome or accent silver. It looks very clean, crisp, and brings new life into an old part! Thanks Tyler! Check out my pictures below.
